As another way to honor and remember sweet Hayden, we have compiled five of Hayden's favorite things into care packages to be distributed every year on his birthday, March 12th, to the infants inpatient in the CICU (Cardiac Intensive Care Unit) at CHOP (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia), CHONY (Childrens Hospital of New York), CHP (Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh) Boston Children’s, Mount Sinai in New York City, and Geisinger Medical Center in PA. We hope these items are as useful to these heart families as they were to us during our precious time with Hayden.
SMILE SACS + HOLIDAY CHEER
These care packages are carefully compiled for babies and children on pediatric cardiac floors in five East Coast hospitals. Many of the items for these packages are donated by our supporters. Several people contact us each year asking how they can help honor Hayden's Heart for their child's birthday, school fundraiser, girl scout troop, and more. We usually refer them to our care packages since these are often fun items for people to buy - and knowing that their donation is making a young cardiac patient in the hospital smile makes them feel good about what they are doing to give back.
